The Laurent-Perrier house was founded in 1812, at a time when champagne was already cherished by European royal courts. Its name comes from the union of Laurent and Perrier, two individuals who played pivotal roles in the house’s history. In the early 20th century, Bernard de Nonancourt, the founder’s grandson, propelled the house into the ranks of major champagne brands by focusing on high-quality production and global distribution.
The house saw several phases of growth under Bernard de Nonancourt’s leadership, notably with the launch of the iconic Brut Sans Année in 1968, a champagne that would become a true emblem of the house. Today, Laurent-Perrier is one of the largest champagne houses, still led by the Nonancourt family.
